Not only is it critical to thoroughly analyze the evidence but it is just as important to have the ability to communicate the findings to the client, their attorney and especially to a judge and jury. The expert needs to be professional, credible, and knowledgeable in their testimony. As an experienced forensic CPA/auditor, I have demonstrated an ability to produce evidence exhibits that are concise and easy to understand. These exhibits have proven effective in all stages of the engagements from investigation through trial, especially when called to testify. My vast experience base in a number of both public and private industries allows me to see things others may miss and communicate those findings in a manner that is appropriate to the audience at hand. I have served in numerous litigation capacities from analysis, exhibit production, expert witness testimony, and have produced expert reports including but not limited to:
- Loss calculations – wages, damages
- Business Valuations
- Financial accounting analysis of
- Corporate Agreements
- Operations
- Certified Audits
- Penalties
- Loan Documents
- Loan Servicing
- Fraud – both criminal and civil
- Tax analysis
Forensic Mediation
It is important to note that forensic analysis can also be used very successfully prior to mediation/arbitration or litigation in order to assemble and organize information in the most understandable and efficient structure which streamlines the process and reduces costs. It can also identify those documents/exhibits that are related to issues that are not conflicts and remove them which reduces the amount of evidence to be submitted. This allows all parties to concentrate on the real disputes in the case. Often times, this can be accomplished by agreements between parties resulting in a mutual sharing of related fees.
